The Monomachine SFX-60+ MKII is divided in 128 Snapshots. Each Snapshot can contain up to 128 patterns, 128 kits, 24 songs, 8 globals and a Digibank consisting of 64 DigiPro user waveforms.

There are two ways to load Snapshot content. Either load a completely new Snapshot or a single Digibank. When loading a new Snapshot, all patterns, kits, songs, globals and DigiPro user waveforms are replaced by new content. Loading a new Digibank will just replace the DigiPro user waveforms. All other content of the current Snapshot remains unchanged. It only takes about a second to load a new Snapshot or a new Digibank.

With a +Drive you have thousands of patterns and sounds more or less instantly available. Change Snapshots during a live performance for a completely new session. Load a fresh Digibank to try out a new set of DigiPro user waveforms together with your currently active Snapshot patterns and kits. A Monomachine featuring a +Drive gives you room to experiment.

All previous Machinedrum and Monomachine models are possible to upgrade with a +Drive. When you buy a +Drive, you will receive detailed instructions how to send in the unit for the upgrade.

SYNTHS

SuperWave takes its inspiration from the analogue world. With a smooth and full sound, these machines are ideal for dialing in all those well known synth sounds.

SID is a faithful emulation of the MOS6581 chip, found in the Commodore 64. The tones from this machine are strong and dirty. Be careful!

DigiPRO offers raw digital waveforms which cut like hot knives through butter. This machine also hosts the user waveforms and a set of sampled drum sounds.

FM+ uses three customized FM machines each with its own personality. Soft bells and total mayhem, anything is possible with this powerful synthesis method.

VO is the genie in the box. The implemented formant synthesis, inspired by classic voice modelling, will basically make the machine talk.

EFFECTS

TRACK EFFECTS
Each of the six Monomachine tracks offers a number of highly usable effects. They are an important part in sculpting the final sound of a track. The Monomachine offers a tape style delay, sample rate reduction, 1-band EQ and distortion per track. All the effect settings are stored in a kit and all the parameters can be controlled from the sequencer.

FX MACHINES
The Monomachine contains no fixed global effects, instead FX machines are used. There are four types of effects available, a reverb, a chorus, a compressor and a ring modulator. Route the tracks that should be affected to a track where an FX machine is assigned. Done!

SOUND CONTROL

IMMEDIATE USER CONTROL
Part of the uniqueness of the Monomachine is due to the tight integration between the synthesis engine and the sequencer. The intuitive sequencer is more than just a simple arranger, it is a creative tool in its own right. Treat a pattern as an incredibly complex sound, transpose it up and down in real time and enjoy the most powerful monophonic sounds in existence.

Three LFO’s per track aid the sound shaping quest. They can modulate every parameter of the Monomachine and even affect each other. If this wasn’t enough an arpeggiator is available per track. The arpeggiator is so flexible it’s better to think of it as a mini sequencer.

MIDI CONTROL
The Monomachine is also a fully-fledged MIDI sequencer with six tracks exclusively dedicated to MIDI sequencing tasks. The MIDI tracks function much the same as the internal tracks. They all have an arpeggiator per track and the swing and slide functions work exactly in the same way as their internal counterparts. To sum it up: the Monomachine is very well suited as the center of any MIDI setup.

SEQUENCER

PATTERN & SONG SEQUENCER
The pattern sequencer offers total control over both the six internal tracks and the six MIDI tracks. 128 patterns and 128 kits guarantee plenty of storage room for musical ideas. Slide, accent and swing functions are also available, perfect for fine tuning a pattern.

Use the powerful song sequencer to arrange patterns into longer pieces of music. For every step in a song, pattern offset, length, BPM and mute can be set. Creative use of the song sequencer can turn a single pattern into a whole composition.

PARAMETER LOCKS
One of the most powerful aspects of the Monomachine sequencer is the ability to perform so called parameter locks. A parameter lock lets a note trig have its own parameter settings. In a melodic sequence every note can have unique synthesis, filter and effect settings. It is even possible to use different waveforms per note. In fact, basically every parameter found in the Monomachine is possible to parameter lock. Take advantage of this great feature in order to really unlock the potential of the Monomachine.
